Trail Vs Cliff
As for me I think I will take the trail. I do believe its the cliff climbing that they are closing. Check out the pics of the climber I took, made my palms sweat just watching him. Steve, climbing Angel's landing in July would be like going to Orlando in August. But if you want to try the hike we could do it very early in the day. Lots of water!

55 and still alive!
As you all know I will be reaching the ripe old age of 55 in April. To celebrate this mark I have decided that a hike to the top of Angel's landing would be a fun way to enjoy my day. Those who would like to join me on April 16th for the climb of your life need to start working out now. I warned all of my children at the first of the year so there could be no excuses. So get in gear the time is near.

Pinewood Derby and Quilting
In January I went to the beach with my quilting friends where it was a 5-day quilting frenzy/food fest (i.e. heaven). I made several quilts including this one.
And that's all I have pictures for to prove I have been busy. There have been other things but I don't have picture. Please post. I miss all of you and want to know what you are doing. I love you!
This one was made two weeks ago for Chris's co-worker who is having a baby girl and invited us to the baby shower (see, I CAN make a quilt, start to finish, all by myself).
Our cub scouts had a fund raiser and allowed anyone who wanted to participate to join them in a pinewood derby. It was such good practice for us. I had never even been to a derby before let alone made a car. We both realized we have a lot to learn. The kids had fun (well, except for Kennedy, because she didn't win. . . .).

Christmas
For Christmas we had Chris's parents here for a few days. We had a nice day and their friend who is here on a mission was able to join us for our dinner.
We headed out to Asheville the day after Christmas to tour the Biltmore house and spend the night in a cabin. We also went to the "National Gingerbread Competition" at the Grove Park Inn there. Some of the entries were truly amazing.
Silly Business
My kids are enjoying school and I am burning up some major gas hauling Jack back and forth to preschool every day. I think next year we will do 4-day.
Here are some silly pictures for your entertainment. I can't help but laugh. This is what happens when you have an older sister who likes to be in control and tell everyone what to do. . .
Catching Up
Can I just say. . ."Life is full". I can't believe I have pictures on my camera from November. That's pathetic. We have been so busy but I can't say with what. It seems like we just get one thing over and immediately have something else to prepare for. It seems like you all are in the same boat. In other words, our blog has not been very busy over the past few months.
Here is my attempt to catch you up on what we have been doing.
As you know, Kennedy turned 8 and got baptized in November. We had a wonderful visit from Mom and Dad. The moment they stepped off the airplane they hit the ground running and were busy the whole two weeks. It started with taking Mom in to tell a story at Kennedy's school (to celebrate her birthday). Then there was the birthday party to prepare for (Angry Birds Theme). We had a nice Thanksgiving and then had the baptism which was lovely. Mom posted some pictures some time ago. I am so thankful they were here to help us with all of these things. They even went with us to pick a tree and Mom went "Black Friday" shopping with me but it was a bust.

Tamsyn's Project
I was going to have Tamsyn post pictures on here of the recycle and redesign project she did for an FCCLA (what used to be called FHA) competition. However, she's already posted the pictures and description on her fashion blog, so here's the link: Tamsyn's blog
She went to the first competition on Monday and earned a silver. State competition is in March.
