A New Blog

For several years I have had a digital copy of Grandma's history. I have been meaning to do something with like make a bookbut have never done it. I started a blog today instead. I will updated it frequently with sections of her own history. I have added some pictures from the internet to supplement. My hope is to have Alison add the embellished stories that she has written and to have mom scan the pictures she has and put them all together. The Year of the Lowes

This is our year!  Let's see, Brendon and Taylor moved into their own apartment, Ron starts his dream job next week, Mom turns 80 this year and...yes, we have some good news.  Sona received a thumbs up on her visa application.  There are a few more steps to take.  We are still hopeful for a June wedding, which will add another good news chapter to "The Year of the Lowes".  We hope to send out a missionary this year (come on Jared, finish that paperwork!).  May this year be filled with more good news from everyone!

Side note - we have been think Valentines Day would be the day we would hear.  Sure enough, on Valentines day in Armenia, Derek got the news.  We are thrilled, as are Derek and Sona.

Hi everyone,

   A bit of good news to share. I just accepted a position as a Clinical Engineer with Intermountain Health Care in St. George. I start on the 19th. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am for this chance to change careers at this stage in my life. It is my dream job for sure. It is more in line with what I went to school for. I'm on cloud nine!
