| Holyrood Palace-where the Royals live. We were lucky to be able to tour this royal palace. Next week it will be off limits to tourists because Prince Charles will be visiting for a week. Queen Elizabeth always comes for a week in the summer. |

| The Palace Gardens-the Queen has a garden party here every summer. If you could walk through it you would want to have a garden party here too. It was so beautiful! |
We hiked to King's Seat from Holyrood Palace. We couldn't believe our luck for the weather this day. The skies were clear blue and the temperature was nice.
I found out later that this yellow flower is called Gorse. It had the most pleasant scent. It reminded me of something like buttery cookies with a slight floral scent. It is actually a weed but it was everywhere and every time I saw it I had to smell it.
