The Randalls Christmas Eve at Hogwarts

Not quite by coincidence, the Randalls, like the Lowes, had Christmas at Hogwarts. Here are a few shots of our festivities.

Our guests were sent an invitation by owl that said a floo network would be set up at our address. This is the fireplace that greeted them when they arrived.

They were provided with instructions.

And Floo powder

Inside, a Honeydukes Sweet shop greeted them.

The kids needed a galleon to purchase sweets, so they went on a hunt for a troll hoard in the dungeon.

On their way they ran into

They found the hoard in a dresser drawer, along with some wants and a pair of socks.

On to the great hall, next, where the table was set with golden plates and piles of crackers.

We had a roast dinner with butter beer, pumpkin juice or gilly water for drinks.

We dressed the part. Here we have Luna, Professors Trelawney and Lupin and an unnamed house elf

Our last activity was a discussion about Remembralls and the many ways Heavenly Father has given us to remember His Son. We then made some Remembralls as a symbol of remembering Christ, not just at Christmas or on Sundays, but, as it says in the sacrament prayers,

Always

Harry Potter Christmas Eve

A magical charm was placed over the house on Berkely Drive.  Aria, Jared, Amanda, Derek, Sona, Daniel and me were unable to break the charm and enter the residence until the spell was broken at 4:00.  While we were off doing our own thing, house elfs transformed the residence into Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry.  When the spell was broken, we were greeted at the door by floating keys.  We had to pick the one that would open the door.

As we entered, we saw the platform at nine and three quarters.

The entrance provided warning of two characters to be on the lookout for.

Why couldn't it have been follow the butterflies?

We made our way to the Great Hall.

A feast magically appeared.

After dinner, we looked deeply in the Pensieve

We were told to immediately go to the ministry of magic

Upon arrival, we enjoyed an evening of games, fun and spiritual training (yes, we were able to pivot from Harry Potter to the true meaning of Christmas)

A few gifts were opened.

A fun time was had by all.  Merry Christmas, everyone!!
