Try two

Okay here is a couple more from that same night out at the farm. They just don't do it justice

January Sunset

I've got two or three more to go with this post but my computer won't upload so I'll post this and try again. These were about a week ago out at the farm. The colors look so dull compared to what they were that night

Some sunsets from Lyssy

As usual these are just from my phone so they're not "Grandma Mary quality" ;) I need to get my pics off Lee's camera and post what we've taken lately. Anyway this was in November, there were a few days in a row where there was a beam like that in the middle of the sunset. Pretty neat

Siennah

I took a few candids of Siennah when they were here. She was sick most of the time but did feel better the last day before they went home. She is growing up.

Tristan

This one REALLY makes me laugh!

Kennedy

This makes me wish I was a kid again and could still climb trees.

Tristan

Tristan, with his big brown eyes staring back at me.

Back to NC

We had fun playing in the woods in November and I was able to get some good candid shots of the kids. Here are a few. Jack, with his big blue eyes staring back at me.

Mandy

This is a cute picture of Mandy who is color-coordinated with her surroundings. We planned it that way, didn't we Mandy?

Lowe Family

A great family picture taken on Christmas morning.

January sunset

Hey, Lyssy Loo, where are your sunsets? I miss your posts.

Jared

Don't you just love this pose?

Light switch

The first one was a little dark so I lightened it up a bit

Jared Senior Pictures

Jared

The funnest part of Christmas was seeing Jared get excited about a pair of jeans. After he had opened his presents he tried on his new jeans and just stood there looking at them exclaiming over and over, "Look at these jeans. Just look at them! Aren't they great?" Now, for most people a pair of new jeans is just an ordinary event but for Jared it has been a source of dismay over the years. He could never find a pair quite long enough in his waist size. This year a new shop opened up in Grapevine called "The Foundry" which caters to the Big and Tall. Most Big and Tall shops figure if you're tall, you're big, and old fashioned, and out of style. But not the Foundry! They had so many things that Jared liked that Kristin blew her whole month's budget on getting new clothes for Jared. He tried everything on and modeled them for us on Christmas morning. We all oohed and aaahed and clapped for more and declared that he should be a model. Just thought you would like to see a picture of Jared in his new jeans. I wish there had been such a store when Steve was that age.

My beautiful Lowe Grandchildren

I'm nursing a TEXAS cold right now so I'm pampering myself with a good dose of Photoshop, something that is fun to do. And here's the results--a few pictures of the Many we took while we were there. I can't remember having all four of these guys together for a photoshoot in a long, long time. They are very photogenic.

Jewery Box

My latest creation. Love how the color comes through to the front. Look real close and you will notice that the handles are made of barb wire.

Josh & Kirstie

I was playing around in photoshop with one of Josh's pictures & came up with a pretty good black & white. What do you think?

Recap - Grapevine basketball

Last year, Grapevine won a total of 8 games. It was a very disappointing season given the talent level on the team. Last night, Grapevine won their 16th game. Their overall record is 16 and 6. More importantly, their district record is 4 and 1. We are hoping to make the playoffs this year, but there is plenty of basketball to be played so we aren't getting ahead of ourselves. Jared is having a great season. Last night's game provides a good example. As the game was winding down, Jared took an elbow to the lip. While he was sitting out so the trainer could deal with the blood, the opposing team scored 7 unanswered points off a press. Jared re-entered the game in time to make two clutch, game tying free throws. The game then went into overtime. During the overtime, the opposing team continued the press, but Jared was back in the game. The coach had Jared help the guards bring the ball up the court. On multiple plays, the guards inbounded the ball to Jared, who in turn passed the ball to a streaking forward for a fast break. Grapevine scored 14 points in overtime, most of which were initiated by a pass from Jared. Jared scored 18 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, blocked 7 shots and dished out 4 assits. Last night's game was indicitive of how the season has gone. Jared is very active and get's a lot done when he is on the floor. We are looking forward to the rest of the season, though Kristin and I are pretty stressed out!

The Dunk

As promised, here is a picture of Jared's dunk. Not the best picture I've ever taken, but you get the idea. Taking action shots is quite difficult - thank goodness for digital. I am very familiar with the delete button!
