I have to tell you that I think posting this was great! Good way to keep everyone informed. So, I was wondering if we could move the hike to monday instead of wednesday? I asked dad and he said he didn't know and that we could maybe see. I didn't know what the plan was in advanced, and I only asked for Saturday thru Tuesday off. If not its fine but just thought I'd ask.

Moving the hike to Monday is a good suggestion. Question to Alison - are you planning on traveling to Beaver on Sunday after church, or Monday morning? Ron, what would be a good time for the hike? Also, Alison and Christi have asked if we should rent the pool for an hour. Great idea. Let's do it. Mom confirmed she has reserved the swimming pool park for our Tuesday dinner.

I just read my comment and I wasn't very clear - Yes, I'm all for moving the hike to Monday.

We arrive Sunday evening, hopefully in time for supper. Monday hike is fine with us. Ron-I need details about the hike, where are we meeting, what time, how long is the hike, etc. Mom said possibly early in the day which we would love. We would probably go back to Beaver before supper. Our kids have a pretty early bedtime and since Tuesday is pioneer day, they need a good night's rest.
We are happy to do any day for the meals. Since we are going to a play on thursday I would prefer wednesday if possible.

Oh, what day for the pool? Wednesday? I will head that up, give me your preference.

For the hike on Monday we should leave Cedar by 9ish. That would put us back to Kanerra by around noon where we can all enjoy a picnic lunch (provided by us) at the park. Everyone will want to have tennis shoes that can get wet as alot of the hike is in the stream bed. We think the little ones should be ok on this hike even if they only go to the first fall. Water proof your things that you don't want to get wet, I ruined my keyless remote for the truck last year! Ziplock for the camera, ect. If the kids don't get enough of the water Cedar has a new aquatic center that would be fun when we get back. Just a suggestion. We can help out with dinner too how ever we can.

Converge at Ron and Marilee's Monday at 9:00 AM. Works for me. The hike and picnic lunch sounds fun. I'm getting tremendous pressure to take my family to Aladdin on Monday night at Tuacahn. Anyone else interested? Cheap tickets are gone. Expect to pay $45 per ticket, which is a middle range ticket. Wednesday would be a good day for swimming. We could also have dinner and play volleyball at the Ponderosa in the evening.

We're still trying to pin down our plans, that's why I'm slow in responding. I can't tell you for sure when all of us will be there. The girls and I, at least, should be there for the hike on Monday. Josh and Jeff still need to figure out their work schedule. Mom and I have talked a bit about food on Tuesday. I'll plan on doing muffins or coffee cakes and fruit for breakfast. Lunch at the park. I'll help mom with the dinner that evening. I can also do meals on Thursday, I believe.
As far as shows go, don't plan on us for Aladdin on Monday, since Jeff might be coming down that evening and we'll want to be up early for the 5K the next morning. Thursday's show is probably out, too. Jeff has to work on Friday.
I know that's not too clear. I'm hoping some decisions will be made soon and I can pass them on to you.

Steve, Marilee and I are in on the Aladdin plan if you decide to do that. We better decide soon. Tickets are going fast.

I'll take Wednesday for meals.

I have the pool rented from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The alternative was 4-5:00. I thought it would be best to do the morning then we can still plan to go to ponderosa for supper. I'll make something we can take up there, like chicken and black bean burritos and cornbread. Ron, will anyone from your family be joining us that day?
Steve, will you edit your post to reflect the updated plans?

I haven't heard from Tyff & Jason yet. Are you going to be able to come? I know you have been camping these past few days so you have been busy. Let us know what your plans are. It looks like Josh and Derek will be playing their piano-organ duet in our Sunday Sacrament meeting at 11:00 AM. It would be nice if everyone available could be there. Ron, you should plan to be there with your family. Bring Vernon and Marilyn, too. Also, Lyssy, bring Lee. We will wait for Chris and Christi to come before we eat.

Here's more on our plans. All of our family except jeff will be coming down on Saturday. Jeff and Josh will stay through Wednesday and head back up that evening. We've decided to join the gang going to Tuacahn. (Sorry Christi. We'll have to do our 5k walk together another day.) Do we have plans yet for Thursday? We haven't been to the "big tree" in a while. That's one idea. Bryce? Christi, what would your kids like to do?

woodshopron said...

We won't be able to make it to church, I am conducting for High Priest group as I will be the only one there from the leadership.

Christi said...

Looks great. Alison, when do you head home? We told mom we would take her out to dinner for her birthday. Will you join us? Ron?

Christi said...

We should be in Beaver by 6:00, if not earlier.
For Thursday, Bryce sounds fun if we can persuade someone to drive our kids back to Beaver and Chris and I will continue on to Cedar for our play.

Tyff said...

Siennah and I will be to Beaver hopefully in time for supper on Sunday.

woodshopron said...

We would love to come and join everyone for Mom's birthday.

Alison said...

If it matters, I'll be doing a pasta dish for dinner the 26th. We'll add whatever we can from the garden.

talltimber said...

Glad to hear Tyff and Siennah are going to make it! For Thursday, I vote for a visit to The Big Tree. I'm not sure I want to travel to and from Bryce the day before we head back to Texas.
