Backstory

Amanda decided to start the new school year by cleaning and re-arranging her bedroom.  After spending a good chunk of her Saturday cleaning her room, she invited me to her room to help her move furniture around.  We moved her bed from the center of the room to the far back corner.  We moved the toy chest to the foot of her bed and the night stand to the right of her bed.  The arrangement gave her the intended result, more room in the center of her bedroom.

Sunday morning, Rachel got up early to prepare her lesson before church.  Jake was roaming the upstairs hall looking for someone to cuddle with.  Since Rachel was up and about, she thought Amanda would satisfy Jake's snuggle needs.  Rachel opened Amanda's door and went back to her room.  Jake was at the top of the stairs.  As soon as Rachel was out of the way, Jake, as he always does, ran full speed toward Amanda's bed.  He launched himself as he normally does.  Only this time there was no soft landing.  Jake went THUD against the wall.  See next post for an illustration.  There has got to be a moral to the story.  Let's see, look before you leap.  Staying in a rut can lead to painful consequences.   Perfect take-offs don't always lead to perfect landings.  What goes up must come down, one way or the other.  Here today (bed), gone tomorrow.  It was Bush's fault.  Obama did nothing to prevent the looming crash.  Use comments section to add your own morale to the story.  Mom, any Rindercella magic?
